Two movements have emerged over the last several years ... Black Lives Matter and Idle No More. Both speak towards their respective dominant cultures about racism, prejudice, power, privilege, discrimination and violence that has been brought against the African American and Aboriginal communities. This year's theme The Language of the Unheard examines these issues and how they intersect with and interrupt our own lives in the 21st century.
