Our next Teen Spirit event is going to be on Sunday Oct 5 - an opportunity to hear our United Church Moderator, the Right Rev. Gary Patterson, speak at Parkdale United Church (2919 - 8 Ave. NW). We will meet there at 6:45 pm for the 7 pm program. We will then walk up to Tim Horton's across from the Foothills Hospital for a hot choc.
The talk is called "Words of Encouragement: Being Christian in Times of Trouble and Despair”. I know this is a little different from our normal events, but it's not often you get to see the Moderator of the United Church in person, so I am putting it out there as an opportunity!
